How TYN works

There’s probably something at your place you’d happily get rid of today if it were easy. The bike in the hallway you keep stepping around, or the camera you stopped using a couple of phones ago. Wanting it gone was never the hard part. What stops most people is everything that comes after: figuring out where to sell it, taking decent photos, writing the listing, answering messages, and then waiting to find out whether the buyer actually turns up.

TYN exists to take all of that off your plate. Instead of selling the thing yourself, you hand it to us and we pay you for it on the spot. This is what that looks like.

Send a few photos

Take some pictures of whatever you want gone and send them over. You don’t need to clean it up, stage it, or worry about the lighting. We mainly want to see what the item is and roughly what condition it’s in, so a few honest photos from your phone are plenty.

Get a cash offer

We look at what your item is worth and come back to you with a cash offer. There’s nothing to negotiate, and no listing it publicly for strangers to talk you down. If the number works for you, you accept it. If it doesn’t, you’re under no obligation to go ahead, and that’s genuinely fine.

We come and collect it

Once you’ve accepted, we arrange a time that suits you and come pick the item up directly. You won’t have to box anything up, drive it across town, or sit around waiting for someone who swore they’d be there by noon. For people who’d rather hand things over on their own schedule, we’re putting together a drop-off option too, which should be available before long.

You get paid

You’re paid as soon as we’ve collected the item, and at that point you’re done. What happens to it next is our job: finding a buyer, handling the listing, and sorting out the shipping all sit with us. None of it lands back on you.

It’s worth saying plainly, since people often assume otherwise: TYN isn’t a marketplace, and you’re never the one doing the selling. You give us the item, we pay you for it, and everything that comes afterward is on us.
